Private Equity — Due Diligence

Pan-African Digital Infrastructure

A pan-African investment fund engaged MNS to conduct the strategic and operational due diligence of a circa $20M investment in a digital services company targeting leadership in datacenters, cloud and digital services across the continent. MNS assessed the legacy infrastructure, organizational capabilities, market dynamics and services portfolio, and delivered a concrete set of recommendations to de-risk the investment — covering organizational improvements, infrastructure upgrades, new datacenter build-out and a market growth strategy.

Result — The investment was approved by the fund's investment committee, supported by a long-term value creation plan.

Strategy & Business Plan

International Telecom Vendor

An international telecom vendor headquartered in the Netherlands, with operations in Europe, Asia and North America, engaged MNS to analyze the global market for its connectivity solutions (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) across the Network Transformation and Service Assurance segments, and to develop a strategic plan and product roadmap. MNS deployed a multidisciplinary team in strategy, marketing and telecom solutions to conduct this end-to-end engagement — from market dynamics analysis and customer needs assessment through to the formulation of strategic recommendations and support during the implementation phase.

Result — The execution of the strategic plan enabled the client to successfully establish its position in this segment, growing revenues on this product line from $3M to $13M over two years.

Technology Advisory

Telecom Operator

A telecommunications operator engaged MNS to lead its customer loyalty management platform modernization project, from solution design through to deployment. MNS handled architecture definition, technical specifications and vendor RFP drafting, comparative offer analysis and solution selection advisory. MNS also supported the operator through the implementation phase. The objective was to equip the operator with a more flexible platform incorporating Big Data capabilities, reducing operating costs and shortening time-to-market for new service launches.

Result — The solution selected at the end of the RFP met all the client's current and future requirements and was delivered within the planned budget.

Private Equity — Advisory

International Private Equity Firm

A New York-based investment firm managing over $25 billion in assets engaged us to support its planned acquisition of a stake in a leading European innovation and engineering consulting company. We conducted a targeted strategic review covering the target company's organizational structure, market positioning, competitive landscape and key differentiating factors, providing the fund with an independent perspective to inform its investment decision.

Venture Capital Advisory

Corporate Innovation, Europe & Africa

MNS partnered with a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, managing $2 billion in assets, to jointly develop and deploy a Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) offering. The model enables large corporations to invest as sole LPs in startups developing strategic or frontier technologies critical to their industries, while structuring corporate partnerships — including co-development agreements, IP licensing and commercial arrangements. MNS led the deployment of this offering with corporate clients in Europe and Africa, primarily in the energy and digital infrastructure sectors.

Digital Regulation & Public Policy

Regulatory Authority, Gabon

ARCEP Gabon engaged MNS to provide technical assistance in modernizing its framework for monitoring service quality across electronic communications networks. MNS reviewed the existing regulatory framework, conducted an in-depth benchmark of available measurement solutions, prepared the terms of reference for the procurement tender, and delivered training modules for the regulatory authority's teams covering key performance indicators for mobile and fixed networks.

Result — This engagement enabled ARCEP Gabon to ground its procurement decision in a rigorous comparative analysis and to strengthen its regulatory framework for service quality monitoring across all networks.
